New Module Performs Gate Logic
The GMS-729 Logic module provides gates and inverters that can perform logic on synth gate signals. Two gates can be switched between an AND or OR gate function and can have an inverted or normal output. One gate can be switched between an AND and an exclusive OR function, again with selectable output inversion. Two inverters are also provided.
The input signals are normal gate level signals of 0 to +5 Volts. A comparator on each input triggers at slightly above +2.5 Volts and offers hysteresis to prevent false triggering. The input can also be used as a threshold detector on slowly changing input signals. Each output has an LED indicator to show its current state.

GMS-714 Quad VCA/Gate Testing
The prototype of the Quad VCA/Gate module is undergoing testing. One modification that needs to be made is a revision of the board to allow mounting in a dotcom slant-front case. This picture shows the module used as a gate combining three oscillators driven polyphonically by the MIDI to CV converter.
