AC Power Inlet and DC Power Distribution

The power distribution module provides a means to bring power line voltage into a studio cabinet and connect to common power supply modules (frame mounted linears or switchers). The module package also includes a wiring harness to connect the power module outputs to power distribution boards such as the PDB2 Power Distribution board to provide a complete power solution.


The IEC inlet block contains a power switch, a line filter, a fuse, and line voltage selector. The line voltage selector can select between 115 VAC or 230 VAC line voltage standards. LEDs indicate the presence of various DC voltages when the unit is turned on. A SpeakON 4 pole DC output connector can be used to route power from the power module to power distribution panels on other studio cabinets. A six pin DIN connector is provided to route power to cabinets using this style of power connector.

The AC connection from the AC inlet module to the external power module is provided with a 6 pin female Molex connector. An optional harness kit that provides a six pin male Molex harness to connect to the external power module AC terminals and a DC power harness that connects to the user provided internal DC distribution system can be purchased.
